SUPER SANDERS install and work just like a scroll saw blade. You can now reach into openings as small as 1/32" x 1/8" and easily smooth out lumps, bumps, and fuzz from your project.
Each assortment contains 4 double-sided SUPER SANDERS (1 ea. 100, 180, 200 and 320 grit) mounted on a 0.015" x 1/8" x 5" ridgid steel backers.

Backers too Narrow
I bought these super sanders because I needed something with a stiff back. I bought all the sizes, Unfortunately, they all come with the same 1/8" wide backers. So the 1/4" sanding strips overhang the edges of the backer. They should have made the backers the same size as the strips and just narrowed them at the two ends to fit the saw clamps. I'll probably end up machining my own backers.

1/4" sanding strips
I have a good bit of sanding on some of my scrolling. I thought I would try the 1/4" sanding strips with the metal backer. They work o.k. but it is very time consuming to run them in a scroll saw. Fortunately I had built a jig saw stand that would hold the saw upside down. I mounted the sander blade in the saw using only one side with paper on it. That reduced the time that it took to do the sanding needed. Also had a foot switch to start and stop the saw.
